Meta is building a new state-of-the-art data center campus in Beaver Dam, totaling more than $1 billion in investment in Wisconsin. Meta’s Beaver Dam Data Center will be a part of highly advanced, global infrastructure that connects billions of people around the world each and every day. Meta’s Beaver Dam facility, being constructed by Mortenson Construction, is expected to support more than 1,000 skilled trade workers during construction and over 100 operational jobs. To accomplish this, Meta is underwriting millions of dollars in both local infrastructure and energy improvements, including a $15 million contribution to the Alliant Energy Hometown Care Energy Fund to provide local families with energy assistance. Meta is also working with local partners to restore more than 550 acres of biodiverse wetland and prairie, 175 acres of which will be deeded to Ducks Unlimited to ensure public accessibility for years to come. These efforts, and more, serve to grow the city’s tax base, support local schools and nonprofits, and ultimately enhance the long-term vitality of Beaver Dam and Dodge County as a whole.
